While the older temples are more basic, sculpted embellishment is extensive on the later – and larger – temples. WebImportant features of this style are Star shaped platform The jagati around the temple is the open pradakshinapatha. Polished pillar with variety of designs. Elaborate carvings and beautifully carved madanika figures. Vimana (shikara) in pyramidical shape. Most of their temples in Bhumija style.

Photographs will not be able to do justice to the visual play of light and shadow on the rathas, the horizontal relief work and the intricately detailed sculptures.
