Bucket brewing lid not sealing
WebI just purchased a (barely) used brewing kit for a very fair price. It was originally sold to its past owner in 1998 and it was used once (if at all). The kit is great, but I had a question about the fermenting bucket - specifically the lid. It does not have a rubber seal around the lid, and does not come with an air-lock. WebMay 31, 2024 · They are bubbling like crazy through the airlock, so I guess the seal is tight enough. But others are correct some buckets lid seal starts getting worn after on/off a bunch and they do not seal as well. But mine have lasted for wine and beer for about 30 - 50 batches. They are $5 for bucket and lid so I toss them and buy new.
